Critical Analysis of Dave Barley’s

The Devils of Eden

Issues dealing with Satan and Lucifer, we seem to be bent on the fact that there is a literal Lucifer and that the verses in the bible clearly prove that and demonstrate that. Well there’s many ways to look at this.  But one of the main reasons that I want to bring this particular message to you is to open your eyes and give you understanding concerning truth concerning the word of God. Now what I’m gonna give to you is biblically correct and if you don’t like it you’re free to seek your own doctrine and your own answers your own solutions and those of you who want to continue to believe in a great Satan as is traditionally taught in the churches, you’re free to do so.  My basic premise is this. And it hasn’t changed nor has the word of God changed, there are no other Gods before me or beside me or close to me.

The world out there has a yin and a yang philosophy.  That you have a God and you have a positive force, and that you have a god of evil that is a negative force. I don’t recall ever thinking of Satan as a God’. However, Satan did speak unto Eve that she could be like God if she ate of the fruit of the tree of knowledge. Also see Isa. 37:38 where it says “And it came to pass, as he was worshipping in the house of Nisroch his god,” as an example where the bible refers to other ‘gods’.  Nisroch = "the great eagle"1) an idol of Nineveh worshipped by Sennacherib; symbolised by the eagle-headed human figure.  This is proof that other gods are referred to in the word, but we are not to worship them or put them before our God.  Well I’m sorry friend but we have only one God of the bible of a positive force and an evil force and one God period. God said he creates evil not that he is evil. The word ‘evil’ in Hebrew is ‘ra and means “bad, disagreeable, giving pain, unhappiness, misery, calamity,” etc.)  What ever powers there are He controls them all. And when I read the scriptures concerning Lucifer and who Lucifer is I’m sorry but the traditional teachings concerning Israel in that aspect of Satan has to be pushed aside for truth. (You mean Barley’s truth.)

So to begin with let’s turn to Isaiah chapter 14. Now this particular chapter is not the one he was in dispute over. But nonetheless, we are going to go there and cover a little bit of it. Isaiah chapter 14.  And we will start reading in verse 3:

And it shall come to pass in the day that the LORD shall give thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy fear, and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to serve, 4 That thou shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say, How hath the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased!

First of all let me point out right here and there that it is speaking this chapter and this scripture to who? The king of Babylon.  Actually, Isa 14 v. 1-3 is prophesy about Israel’s restoration: and v. 4-8 about the “Oppressor ceased”. See Companion Bible p. 948. Ok I think it’s very clear. And it speaks of a city, Babylon (which means confusion (by mixing)) that is going to fall and it is going to describe the fall of Babylon. A closer look at the word for “golden city” is better translated as “oppressor”. The king of Babylon, who happened to be Nebuchadnezzar at the time, is compared to an “oppressor” that is about to fall. And I just want you to follow with me as I go through these verses and I think you will see that it is pretty much self explanatory.

The LORD hath broken the staff of the wicked, [and] the sceptre of the rulers.

He who smote the people in wrath with a continual stroke, he that ruled the nations in anger, is persecuted, [and] none hindereth.

The whole earth is at rest, [and] is quiet: they break forth into singing.

Yea, the fir trees rejoice at thee, [and] the cedars of Lebanon, [saying], Since thou art laid down, no feller is come up against us.

Now I want you to notice that there are trees described that rejoice at thee and the cedars of Lebanon. ok  (The cedars of Lebanon refers to Nebuchadnezzar’s and Esar-haddon’s cutting down as recorded in their Inscriptions. They tell how they “brought the greatest trees from the summits of Lebanon to Babylon.” Nebuchadnezzar moreover boasts that he will do it in his message to Hezekiah (Isa. 37.38))

verse 9

Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet [thee] at thy coming:

Well that gets the old bastards clicking right there when they see this word ‘hell’ they say ‘see this is describing hell and this is about Lucifer and this is about his domain in hell and how god is gonna bring this beautiful archangel down from his high place in heaven and cast him into the pits of hell. *Cough* Well we’ll see. It says that

Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet [thee] at thy coming:

it stirreth up the dead for thee, [even] all the chief ones of the earth; it hath raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations.

All they shall speak and say unto thee, Art thou also become weak as we? art thou become like unto us

Thy pomp is brought down to the grave, [and] the noise of thy viols: the worm is spread under thee, and the worms cover thee.

How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! [how] art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

Now ye can hold one perspective which is that this is talking about Lucifer that archangel in heaven this devil who was pretty close to God Almighty.   They were good friends good buddies everything was going pretty good up in heaven until Lucifer thought of himself to be as a god and God said we can’t have this buddy I’m kicking you out of heaven and I’m sending you to hell.  Now that’s the traditional teaching basically.  Have I basically got it down right?

Lucifer = Morning-star. Worshipped by the Assyrians as male at sunrise, female at sunset. A name of Satan. (Companion Bible, p. 949)

Or you can look at this from another perspective and I believe it is the correct biblical perspective that this king of Babylon is Lucifer. That’s his name. I believe what Barley means is that the term “Lucifer” is referring to the king of Babylon, not the other way around. The king of Babylon was Nebuchadnezzar who was not worshipped by the Assyrians. Nebuchadnezzar worshipped Daniel at one point (Dan 2:46) and later set up a golden calf for the people to worship (Dan 3:7) .So I disagree that Lucifer is this king of Babylon.  Rather, Isaiah is comparing the king of Babylon to Lucifer.  And he held a great position of power and wealth.  Babylon, it was a great merchant city. Many nations, many kingdoms depended upon the power and the wealth of this great city. It’s kinda like the United States of America today.  Can you imagine if the stock market of the United States of America fell? What a great trembling that would send to all the other nations that are dependent upon the United States of America and its wealth and its power and its position. But it’s speaking about this individual this king of Babylon being brought down. What’s it describing? That hey, I’m going to bring you down to the pit I’m going to bring death upon you, you are going to die your city and its power are going to cease and when you fall its going to weaken the nation and there’s going to be a great economic earthquake as you’ve never seen before. Again can you imagine if the U.S. fell as an economic power would there not be a great economic upheaval and economic earthquake? Sure there would be.

Now these things these ideas and these concepts that we were talking about, about the idea that the Judeo Christian point of view and concept concerning Lucifer, you really have to read a lot between the lines to come up with some of these ideas and some of these concepts concerning Lucifer. But this Lucifer is brought down to the ground and it did weaken the nations, it did weaken the nations. Now if Lucifer is some archangel and he brings him down to earth how is he weakening the nations? Answer me that. It doesn’t. A: This fall of Babylon is being compared to the fall of Satan in the first earth age, the world that then was as found in the book of  Peter (2 Pet 3:6) . verse 13

For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven,

Who said this? The “Oppressor”. It should be noted that the children of Israel were oppressed in Egypt and Syria not Babylon so the king of Babylon is not the Oppressor” but only being compared to the Oppressor” so he couldn’t possibly be Lucifer. Nebuchadnezzar was the son of Solomon and the Queen of Sheba, and therefore of the House of David and didn’t consider himself God. The king of Babylon, Lucifer, I’m gonna be as the most high.  I chose the one to build the tower of Babel and get to heaven right? They wanted to be as the Most High. So they go and build this great tower and this great city called Babel which Babylon is a form of here. And we’re going to ascend up into heaven and

I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

Now what does this mean? The north star, I guess? The North is God’s dwelling place (see Psa. 75:6; Job 26:7) The Mount of the congregation is not Zion but the Divine assembly of judgment. See Psa. 75:2; 82:1 “God stands in the assembly of gods; and in the midst [of them] will judge gods.” ( LXX).This shows that this verse is not talking about a place here on earth, but rather, a place in heaven.  For those people who want to believe that Satan was up there in the sky in the stars? Not this is talking about how he wanted to present to be in control of this northern terrain. He was going to have control of this particular land mass and this particular area.

I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. The MOST HIGH, Elyon in Hebrew. Isn’t this what Satan, that Old Serpent, said to Eve, that you can be like God?

I’m the king. I hold more power than any other king on the face of the earth. I’m going to be as the Most High God. People are going to worship me. Well isn’t that what happened? Sure it is. Didn’t they make gods out of pharaohs in Egypt? And other kings? Absolutely they did. There is no evidence that Nebuchadnezzar was ever made into an idol or god. Instead, Nebuchadnezzar made a golden calf for his people to worship.

Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell,

Oh my god there it is. What is the term hell? What does the term hell mean? It means the grave. It means the pit. You’re gonna die is what he’s telling this king. You’re gonna be brought down from your power and your power is gonna be gone buddy.

to the sides of the pit.

They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, [and] consider thee, [saying, Is] this the

Archangel that God almighty kicked out of heaven? No it isn’t what it says is it. It says, “is this the man…  Angels look like men and are called men in the word. The two angels that God sent to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah were called men. See Gen 19:1-5, 10.

is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;

Yes this man this king of babylon fell from power fell from his high position. And when he fell his kingdom fell there was a great trembling among the nations. The king of Babylon fell from power just as Lucifer fell from heaven for I don’t believe that the king of Babylon fell from heaven.  This comparison is a word picture to help us understand what brought about and presently brings about the fall of man and oppressive empires. So you need to have an open mind to truth when you’re reading scripture verses. You like the psychological plug here? He’s saying that if you don’t agree with him, you are closed minded!  I submit to you that the word of god is more down to, excuse me for using this description but it fits and it’s a good one, more down to earth than what people imagine. They want to put it out there on some weird esoteric phenomenon or zone or thought concerning our God and they become so, everything is so spiritualized they don’t grasp the reality of the world in which we are living in and how things affect us and how governments and how kingdoms and how men affect us. Notice the psychology he’s using here. He’s saying if you don’t agree with him, you are out of touch with reality and don’t have an open mind. This is a red flag that he’s brain washing instead of teaching.

So there’s out there concentrating on the spiritual invisible no gods, idols that don’t exist rather than concentrating on the real powers and forces and demons in high places of our government that have an affect upon our lives right here and now.  That are passing laws and creating legislation to come against the kingdom of god. Therefore we don’t take any notice of these guys because no we’re worried about these demons and these devils. I wonder what he thinks ‘demons’ or ‘devils’ are? Does he think they are simply evil people?  In Deu 32:17, the word ‘devils’ is interchangeable with ‘gods’.  Deu 32:17 They sacrificed unto devils, not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to new [gods that] came newly up, whom your fathers feared not. The word for devil is shed and means an idol, to rule, lord, master, demon. This brings to mind Ephesians 6:12, For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high (or heavenly) [places]. Well I want to tell you that if you’re so concerned about these demons and devils why don’t you go down to congress if you’re really believe in casting devils out of people and grab your Congressman by his shirt collar and cast the devil out of him. Right? And if that’s what it’s gonna take to clean up our nation then by God we better make tracks down to Congress and our local court house and clean the devils out. Because I am telling you that the fact is that we better get in our head that it is spiritual wickedness in high places of our government where this evil is concentrated. And can’t you feel the evil today? I sure can. Doesn’t Eph 6:21 tell us that it’s not flesh and blood men but rulers of darkness in the heavenly or spiritual realms that we wrestle against? Now I could agree that these spiritual beings are walking in shoe leather amongst us, otherwise known as nephilim, as they were in Gen. 6.  Christ forewarned us that it was going to be like it was in the days of Noe, interbreeding with the nephilim. Dr. Swift found in Enoch that the Negro race came from dark angels and devastation that fell on the Egyptians from fallen angels. Cain was such a creature and his children are devils because they are of their father, The Devil (1 Jn 3:12). Mixing with fallen angels and mixing with their offspring is an abomination.

We talked about the Viet Nam war earlier. Where do you think that spiritual wickedness came from concerning the Viet Nam war and the creation of it? Same place it came from concerning the Civil War. The war between the north and south. Same place. WWI, WWII. All the wars, basically all the wars of men have been of greed of profit and of power, power control, power plays and corruption.  Well let’s move on to Ezekiel 27. Well actually its chapter 28, that this individual was in dispute with me over and I respect his opinion but let’s go and first of all look in Ezekiel chapter 27 ok? To begin with, Ezekiel chapter 27. But you know … Let me see here. I’m sorry it is… let’s start reading in Ezekiel chapter 27 verse one:

The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,

Now, thou son of man, take up a lamentation for Tyrus;

Tyre or Tyrus was an island situated on a rock, and Tyrus means rock, about a half mile from the mainland and had ports all around her that ships could enter from the north or south ends of the island. This enabled a ship to find a port no matter which way the wind was blowing!

And say unto Tyrus, O thou that art situate at the entry of the sea, [which art] a merchant of the people for many isles, Thus saith the Lord GOD; O Tyrus, thou hast said, I [am] of perfect beauty.

Thy borders [are] in the midst of the seas, thy builders have perfected thy beauty.

Tyrus was a type of Babylon the Great of this end time, the perfect city of Satan's "beautiful" One World System, whereby through the wielding of economic power, the control of health, education, politics and religion could be achieved.

Thy builders, thy ship builders, the builders of your big court houses and palaces and castles and your cities. It made you beautiful. Earth, the city of Tyre or Tyrus that dwells it says at the entry of the sea. Now remember that this is a lamentation that is taken up for Tyrus, that’s what it says. Earlier we read about a lamentation that was taken up against the kingdom of Babylon right? It’s a great city, a port city controlled by who? Merchants.

Our nation is in control of merchants today, is it not? But it is a great city, a port city and it is heavily controlled by merchants. Money changes price gougers market manipulators they literally control the economy of many nations and they are dwelling here in Tyre. Verse 3 says, that thou art a merchant of peoples for many isles for many land masses provinces and areas. The merchants of Tyre and the prince of Tyre literally had the power to bring other economies to their knees by first of all charging too much for products, or maybe not even providing products or services, there are all kinds of ways in which they could do this. But Tyre is really proud of itself as we are reading a description of it in these verses. They know their influence and power, they know that many nations are dependent upon them and therefore they can control governments and government policy to benefit their merchants or the agents of many nations.

Now this is a symbiotic relationship here.  See if you’ll pass laws and you’ll pass policies that will aid our industry that will aid our field of particular merchandise that we’re in maybe it’s in money maybe its in gold or silver or maybe it’s in oil or whatever and they are gonna benefit from this. So they use and manipulate governments in order to put their competitors out of business, they pass laws to shut down hurt industries and as far as the United States of America and the Rockefellers. You think about the control that the Rockefellers have. The Rockefellers don’t want an open market an open competition, they control the Arab oil fields and they don’t want other companies to have a free market to compete with them. So they pull strings in Congress, the President and the court system to make oil exportations beneficial for them and restrictive on their top competitors. And oil production becomes illegal except for certain markets let’s say controlled by the Rockefellers, some call it Sony, Standard Oil of New York, it’s a tight knit circle of money merchants. And they’re really proud of themselves as we’re reading here in these verses. Verse three says, last part,

O Tyrus, thou hast said, I [am] of perfect beauty.

Now isn’t this what they say of Lucifer. Oh Lucifer you thought you were the most beautiful archangel in heaven. Oh Lucifer you played the flute and you played instruments better than anybody else. All this stuff about Lucifer they conjure up out of nothing. But who’s beautiful here? This city and this king or this prince of Tyre. Now I want you to skip on down to verse 10.  Matthew 27 verse 10. I’m sorry Ezekiel 27 and uh verse 10. I don’t know why I said Matthew. But that’s why I’ve got you guys out there. Keep me on track. We’re not going to read all of these and there are many verses that deal with this but this gives you and overall perspective of the governments the different states that are a part of this system here. And again it’s a symbiotic relationship. Look at verse 10 again.

They of Persia and of Lud and of Phut were in thine army, thy men of war: they hanged the shield and helmet in thee; they set forth thy comeliness.

The men of Arvad with thine army [were] upon thy walls round about, and the Gammadims were in thy towers: they hanged their shields upon thy walls round about; they have made thy beauty perfect. The picture perfect type of Babylon the Great that all looked so wonderful and beautiful, peace,  prosperity and Homeland Security for all who trade with her.

They think about what we’re reading here.  They, these cities these powers that are benefiting from thee they have made thy beauty perfect. They talk about thy glory because they are benefiting from it. They’re helping you in military ways they’re helping you in economic ways. They’re all just raring to go to help you out and be a part of your system because it helps them also. Verse 12:

Tarshish [was] thy merchant by reason of the multitude of all [kind of] riches; with silver, iron, tin, and lead, they traded in thy fairs.

Now I will just add this, Tarshish and Spain and that area there and England that where Joseph of Arimathea had his tin mines and copper mines and was a very wealthy man. He’s the one who was the uncle and came and purchased the body. And you’ll hear it talked about in that land of Tarshish, these rich mines that are there. Tyre had control over them.  Look at verse 13

Javan, Tubal, and Meshech, they [were] thy merchants: they traded the persons of men and vessels of brass in thy market. Sons of Japheth who traded in slaves and vessels of brass. Meshech latter became the settlers of Muscovia (Muscovites), known today as Moscow.

They of the house of Togarmah traded in thy fairs with horses and horsemen and mules. Togarmah, was part of southern Russia and Armenia.

The men of Dedan [were] thy merchants; many isles [were] the merchandise of thine hand: they brought thee [for] a present horns of ivory and ebony. These are the low countries or coastlands. Captive markets are ‘fixed markets’ like the wall street and Federal Reserve moneychangers of today.

Syria [was] thy merchant by reason of the multitude of the wares of thy making: they occupied in thy fairs with emeralds, purple, and broidered work, and fine linen, and coral, and agate. All the nations of the earth were involved in her trade including the House of Jacob!

Judah, and the land of Israel, they [were] thy merchants: they traded in thy market wheat of Minnith, and Pannag, and honey, and oil, and balm.

Etc. You get the picture here. This Tyre had quite an extensive empire. Did it not? The United States of America has quite an extensive empire does it not? It trade with all kinds of empires, Taiwan, China, Mexico, Japan, Europe on down the line. So do the Jewish multinational bankers located in NY, London and Rome who control the economy of the U.S. But look in verse 27,

Thy riches, and thy fairs, thy merchandise, thy mariners, and thy pilots, thy calkers, and the occupiers of thy merchandise, and all thy men of war, that [are] in thee, and in all thy company which [is] in the midst of thee, …

shall what?

shall fall into the midst of the seas in the day of thy ruin.

You’re gonna be brought down. God’s gonna take away your power and bring you down tyrus. To quote Lance Knight, The whole unclean, corrupt, world wide trading system is coming down. Yes, this glamorous ship of Satan's is going to SINK to the bottom of the ocean, never to rise again. The same fate awaits the corrupt one world system of today, known as Babylon the great in the book of Revelation. She's soon coming down too:

Rev. 18:2
And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

Tyre also became the "habitation of devils and the hold (even stronghold) of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird."    Click here to see the complete study of Ezekiel by Lance Knight.

Tyre is a type of Babylon the Great. And as Barley is pointing out, these verses can be applied to either systems, the one then or the one now.

Ok. We gave you a brief overview of what we’re going to be reading about here. Now in chapter 28.  So again, it’s important that you If you’re gonna read chapter 28 and consider what it says in chapter 28, you need to read chapter 27 first and get some of the background of it and notice again it describes it as beautiful this great empire, high and mighty. Yes, Tyrus, which means "rock", was a forerunner or type of the one world system that exists in these end times so that we can see and understand what is going to happen. God said He was going to destroy it and all the corruption that goes along with it. All right, Ezekiel 28, verse 1. All right we’ll start in verse 2:

Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus,

So this is to who? The prince of Tyre ok? The prince of Tyre is ‘The Type’ (see Companion Bible) inasmuch as the King of Tyre refers to Satan himself.  In that this is a type, the characteristics of the type are the same characteristics of Satan himself, how he became corrupt, corrupted the nations and the children of God.

Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thine heart [is] lifted up, and thou hast said, I [am] a God, I sit [in] the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou [art] a man, and not God,

You know I don’t need to read anymore. Just stop right there, it says it all. What’s God Almighty say to him? To this prince of Tyre? Again, this is the ‘prince of tyre’ the type and not the King of Tyre’ who is Satan himself. He says I’m a god and God says no you’re not and I’m gonna bring you down and you’re gonna die and become like the scum of the earth. That’s what it says. Now all the rest of it is just fill in information from here on out. But all kinds of ideas and concepts are created in people’s minds because they don’t understand Bible symbolism for one thing. So they create this mystical invisible satanic boogey man that was a former archangel that God almighty kicked down out of heaven into the earth and he’s doing his thing. Well, maybe so but not in these verses. OK? Not in these verses.

Now, it says that you’re a man. Though thou has set thine heart as the heart of God, you set your heart as the heart of God. You have believed in your mind that you are a God is what he’s saying the heart represents the mind as we went over last week.

Behold, thou [art] wiser than Daniel;

Or is he? No, he’s just kinda making fun of him here isn’t it?

there is no secret that they can hide from thee:

Why you’re so smart, you think you know it all don’t you.

With thy wisdom and with thine understanding thou hast gotten thee riches, and hast gotten gold and silver into thy treasures:

He’s saying ‘Hey!’ This guy’s saying with all my mind and with all my understanding and with all my wisdom and all my cunning, I’ve accumulated all this wealth unto me. I did this! I am as a god. That’s what we’re reading here. Verse 5:

By thy great wisdom [and] by thy traffick hast thou increased thy riches, and thine heart is lifted up because of thy riches:

Isn’t that what happens when people accumulate a lot of wealth? That’s what happened.

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast set thine heart as the heart of God;

Behold, therefore I will bring strangers upon thee, the terrible of the nations: and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of thy wisdom, and they shall defile thy brightness.

Things aren’t going to good now for this prince of Tyre right? Things aren’t looking too good for this Lucifer this Satan this angel that supposedly is described in these verses. Only the type is described here, the prince of tyre.

They shall bring thee down to the pit,

What pit? Death! Hell! Sheol! the grave!

and thou shalt die the deaths of [them that are] slain in the midst of the seas.

Gonna bring you down and you’re gonna die. You’re gonna become nothing.

Wilt thou yet say before him that slayeth thee,

What you say before God almighty? That

I [am] God?

But Jeremiah (sic) says

but thou [shalt be] a man, and no God, in the hand of him that slayeth thee.

Thou shalt die the deaths of the uncircumcised by the hand of strangers: for I have spoken [it], saith the Lord GOD.

Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus,

Who’s the lamentation to? To the king of Tyre. If I have to stress this as we go on here so that you have the right perspective. This is to the king of Tyrus. This is The Antitype. (Introversion) What you’re reading here on is to the king of Tyrus. The Companion Bible states about the king of Tyrus: Here we have a supernatural being addressed: He of who the ‘prince of Tyre’ was only a type; He who was using that ‘prince’ as one of his agents to secure the world power. He is not a mere ‘man’ as the ‘prince of Tyre’ (see v. 9). His description (see the Sturcture, v v. 23-27, below (e.g. covering cherub, wisdom and beauty, etc)) is superterrestrial, and superman, and can refer to no other than Satan himself.” Now it says,

and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.

Isn’t that what we were reading earlier? He thought he was smarter. He thought he was as a god. And he thought boy we’re beautiful because we’re all these mansions and palaces and great power and wealth.

Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God;

Oh there it is brother barley. He’s been in Eden, he’s the serpent see. We’ll I’m sorry that’s not what it means and you’re forgetting who it’s addressed to, the king of Tyrus. That’s who the lamentation was to. We’ll I’m sorry but Barley is failing to comprehend the introversion in the structure of these verses that denotes the difference between the type and the antitype. (The Companion Bible is excellent in showing the structure of Bible verses so that one can readily see subject and object being addressed in the Bible verses.) This verse documents that it is not talking about the literal human king of Tyre but is about Satan. Also in that Tyrus means rock, we know from Deu. 32:31 that the “little rock” aka Satan is not our rock “For their rock is not our rock…”

every precious stone [was] thy covering, the sardius,

and I’m not going to be able to pronounce these correctly, and the

topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.

When you became king and all this stuff all these gifts was given unto you, we read about these earlier about these riches. We read about these different kingdoms that came along and provided what?  These, the great wealth for them, these different merchants from these different countries, and we even read in here of these merchants providing for them, these emeralds and these diamonds, these stones, these gifts that were bestowed upon him representative of his power. I’m very sorry Brother Barley.  This is not what these verses mean. Verse 13 says "every precious stone" adorned him. This means that Satan wore the "Breastplate of a Priest of God".  The word “workmanship” in Hebrew is mela'kah, properly deputyship, i.e. ministry and shows us that he had a very high position, but he fell. You will find Exodus 28:17-21 that the stones listed in verse 13 are exactly the same stones that the Levitical Priests of Israel wore on their robes. Although the 3rd row is missing from the Hebrew, it is found in the Septuagint. Exo. 28:21 And the stones shall be with the names of the children of Israel, twelve, according to their names, like the engravings of a signet; every one with his name shall they be according to the twelve tribes. Verse 14 says he was "anointed" to this position by God. Satan was a high priest of God even over the children of God in the First Earth Age, that world that then was as found in 2 Pet 3:5.  For those who want to learn more about the 3 earth ages, see The Plan of God by Lance Knight.  Verse 14,

Thou [art] the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee [so]: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. Satan wast upon the holy mountain of God, the seat of authority of the kingdom of God. In other words, Satan had a very high administrative position inasmuch as there was not separation of church and state in God’s Kingdom. The civil and the religious duties are united in that Jesus Christ is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

In these verses here we’re reading about sealing up the sum of the full of the wisdom of perfect beauty. I want to ask you something here first of all.  Was this king of Tyre. Was he perfect in beauty? Was he perfect in wisdom? No he wasn’t. In his mind he was. But it says that he was full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. What is this? That if he’s not full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. I would say that god has used a little bit of sarcasm against him, wouldn’t you? Sure. And then look in verse 13 again. It says

Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God

And it describes him again in the next verse as a cherub walking on stones of fire. What’s another name or term for stone? Pillars ok? The bible talks about sacred stones. These were stones of worship. What are these stones of fire?  These stones of fire are idols or false foundations. We could even refer to them as all this baggage from the other nations that are involved in this symbiotic relations, false gods, false economies false standards. That’s what the stones of fire are all about. Sorry Charlie, that’s not what this means.  Verse 14 is saying that Satan walked up and down in the midst of the "stones of fire” which are the "Children of Israel” as we read in Exo. 28:21, i.e. God's children. These stones are called "stones of fire" because they are the children of God who is a consuming fire. See Hebrews 12:29 "For our God is a consuming fire.  You remember there’s a verse that says ‘you make him even more than twice the child of hell’? That’s what this is all about. And those that are serving in and those that are a part of this evil wicked Babylonian system.

Now Brown Driver and Briggs Hebrew Lexicon says a cherub is a guardian. A guardian of Eden. Another name for Eden is what? The kingdom of God, we could say. The kingdom of God is mentioned here in verse 14 that thou was upon the holy mountain of God. Another name for this is power. You’re in a position of power. God has put you in a position of power. Do you think that man has acquired that power by himself? Well I wanna tell you that if you believe that then you go against dozens and dozens of scriptures verses that declare over and over of how God almighty uses certain men and puts them in high places of government. And therefore they could be described as guardians or cherubs of this kingdom that God almighty has put them over. This is true. The word does tell us that God appoints judges and rulers over us.  Eden now is a large land mass or kingdom we could say. Now I want you to turn back to Genesis chapter 2 and let’s look at verse 7. Genesis chapter 2 and verse 7:

And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

And the LORD God planted a garden where? eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.

Oh I find this rather interesting. And he put him in the garden of Eden. But he put him in a particular place in the garden of Eden did he not? He said eastward in Eden.

And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads.

The name of the first [is] Pison: that [is] it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where [there is] gold; ok And the gold of that land [is] good: there [is] bdellium and the onyx stone.

Now in this particular land in this particular region is where you could accumulate what? Great wealth from these precious stones. Ok.

And the name of the second river [is] Gihon: the same [is] it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia.

And the name of the third river [is] Hiddekel: that [is] it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river [is] Euphrates.

And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.

Now what part of the garden was, what part of the garden was, which was put in Eden? what area again was it. Look back again in verse 8.

And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden;

It didn’t encompass all of Eden. It was eastward in Eden. And God said he put Adam in the garden. OK? Now, I find this rather interesting so let’s add to this by going to Ezekiel back to Ezekiel chapter 31. Let’s look at a few verses on this. Ezekiel 31 starting with verse 2. Please put this in perspective of what we are talking about and and this garden of Eden and this rise of power and this kingdom that’s being described in this chapter 28.

Son of man, speak unto Pharaoh king of Egypt, and to his multitude; Whom art thou like in thy greatness? The Lord is going to compare the Pharaoh to someone or something, a similar type.

Ok this is another description.  Who art thou Pharaoh? Who’s like thou in thou greatness? Now you really are something pharaoh. A little more sarcasm here right?

Behold, the Assyrian [was] a cedar in Lebanon with fair branches, and with a shadowing shroud, and of an high stature; and his top was among the thick boughs.

He was a great guy in other words, the Assyrian.  There is a reference In the Companion Bible that says Ginsburg thinks this word “Assyrian” should read t’ashshur (a box-tree) instead of ‘ashshur (an assyrian) since Egypt is the subject here and not Assyria.(see note on 27:6 and cp. Isa. 41.19; 60.23. The subject is the proud exaltation of Egypt, which is likened to a box or cypress, exalting itself into a cedar of Lebanon.

The waters made him great, the deep set him up on high with her rivers running round about his plants, and sent out her little rivers unto all the trees of the field. (the water ways and the Nile, cp. V. 15)

Now we read about the rivers in the garden of Eden did we not?  Now it is the different land masses that are connected here with that power broker in Tyre and all this land mass in Eden.  You follow what I’m saying here?

Therefore his height was exalted above all the trees of the field, and his boughs were multiplied, and his branches became long because of the multitude of waters, when he shot forth.

All the fowls of heaven made their nests in his boughs, and under his branches did all the beasts of the field bring forth their young, and under his shadow dwelt all great nations.

Thus was he fair in his greatness, in the length of his branches: for his root was by great waters.

The cedars in the garden of God

What’s this?

The cedars in the garden of God could not hide him: the fir trees were not like his boughs, and the chesnut trees were not like his branches; nor any tree in the garden of God was like unto him in his beauty.

Now this is the same terminology use over and over. In his beauty.

I have made him fair by the multitude of his branches:

So that what?

so that all the trees of Eden, that [were] in the garden of God, envied him.  We find that the plain old box cedar, that thinks he’s God, is in the very garden of God!

Think about that friend.  All these trees that were in Eden, this land mass, that were in the garden of God, this kingdom, envied him! No some king or not some cherub from heaven that was in the garden of Eden using some slick talk on Eve and Adam. Well, I don’t think it was the Pharaoh that was in the garden of Eden since Ezekiel was told to speak unto the Pharaoh and compare him to this box cedar, that was in the garden. If you didn’t understand that this is not referring to an Assyrian but to a t’ashshur, you would miss this point. It pays to do the research. That’s not what this is talking about at all. You understand what I’m telling you here? Because it says in the garden of eden people have taken Ezekiel 28 and distorted it to produce some satanic boogey man, some Lucifer some Satan out of these verses. Now you may be able out of other verses but not out of these. You understand what I’m telling you. I understand that if people are taught error and do not understand the principalities and rulers of darkness and spiritual wickedness in high places, they may not be able to stand against the enemy for the word says, my people perish for a lack of knowledge. Has. 4:6 The same description is given a litter further on in Ezekiel 31 verse 16. And we’ll read these in closing. Ezekiel 31 verse 16:

I made the nations to shake at the sound of his fall, when I cast him down to hell …

…Or death, God Almighty’s saying that he’s gonna bring him down to death again ok? And when he does this, he causes the nations to shake. That’s really what it says here. Pharaoh is coming down just like Satan was cast down and Babylon the Great is coming down!

with them that descend into the pit: and all the trees of Eden, the choice and best of Lebanon, all that drink water, shall be comforted in the nether parts of the earth.

They also went down into hell with him unto [them that be] slain with the sword; and [they that were] his arm, [that] dwelt under his shadow in the midst of the heathen.

Those were … They were used as his arm, his arm represents his power. He used these nations to do his bidding. And there was again here, a relationship here. If you scratch my back I’ll scratch your back. That’s what this is talking about. And you all drank of this water, you all are participated in this system and you all are going down to the pit. Verse 18:

To whom art thou thus like in glory and in greatness among the trees of Eden?

This is the trees of Eden again. These are kings these are powers these are individuals in this terrain in this great land mass of Eden

yet shalt thou be brought down with the trees of Eden unto the nether parts of the earth: thou shalt lie in the midst of the uncircumcised with [them that be] slain by the sword. This [is] Pharaoh and all his multitude, saith the Lord GOD.

This great king this great pharaoh is being brought down from power. Well I want to submit to you my friends and rest my case here just this aspect of the topic that we’re talking about in Isaiah chapter 14 concerning Lucifer and this cherubim in the garden of Eden and described in Ezekiel chapter 27 and 28 my friends does not support the traditional teaching of this archangel in heaven being brought down. But it does describe spiritual wickedness in high places. Men with great power and government that God Almighty has brought down and will continue to use for his purposes. The ‘high places’ is not referring to a high position of power within a government or government agency.  The Greek word for ‘high’ is epouranios and means ‘existing in heaven’.  Heaven is where God is. God is not presently here on earth but communicates with his children via the Holy Spirit. If we are going to do effective spiritual battle, we need to have the full armor of God on and the first thing is our LOINS girt about with TRUTH (otherwise you'll be seduced). Let’s all stand and we’ll close in prayer.

Father we appreciate this word and we appreciate your truth and I just pray that if there’s anything I’ve said here this morning that is not of truth and is not of your word that you’ll just blot it out and give them the correct understanding. Father if it is truth what I’m sharing I pray that it will be used to come against these false traditions of men that have impacted us for so long and kept us bogged down and unable to look at the real problem and the real reality of our position today and causing your people to fail to understand your purposes and to look to other things that are misleading. Father, give us the reality of your word. Give your people ears to hear and eyes to see that they may know and come out of their bondage. I pray this in your mighty name Jesus, Amen.
