Christian Identity

What is Christian Identity?

Christian Identity is primarily known for its teachings on the identification of the lost tribes of Israel.  For centuries, if not millenia, the mainstream teachings of Christian churches has been that the Jews are God's chosen people and that Christians are non Israelites or the heathens of the Bible.  It would greatly upset the apple cart if the contrary were true as our culture has evolved into its present state based larglely on the belief by Christians that the Jews are the "chosen ones".  But just suppose the lost tribes of Israel were the Caucasian race, who established the free Christian nations and spread Christianity throughout the world.  This would mean that the Bible and all its prophesies were written for and about them. Consistent with the premise, the Bible is a book mainly about one family, the family of Adam, and the Adamic people of the world.  These are those with the ability to "blush" as Adam means "to show red in the face".

Scripture tells us that the Israelites, including Judahites, are the descendants of Abraham, Issac and Jacob.   (Jacob's name was changed by God to Israel.) They are commonly known as the 12 tribes of Israel.  God referred to them as His "chosen ones", His "wife" so to speak, but due to their rebellion and disobedience , God "divorced" Israel.  The Israelites were taken into captivity in Assyria.  Later, He "cut off" his people Judah due to their disobedience and they went into captivity in Babylon.

But God did not completely forsake His people Israel and promised to send a Messiah to redeem them, i.e. "buy back" His children.  Thus, they are called the "bride of Christ" because Christ paid the price (death) for delivering the Israelites from the curse of the law, which would prevent them from being remarried unless their first husband had died.

Mainstream Christians believe that because the Jews rejected Christ, Christ resorted to "saving" non Israelites that accepted Him as the Christ so that they could then receive eternal life.  This belief is at the heart of most mainstream Christian religions, who still hold that the Jews are the "chosen ones" regardless of their actions and/or rejection of Christ. God forbid that anyone would claim the Jews are not Godís "chosen ones" for to say as much would render them "racists" or "anti-semites" or even "white race supremacists", notwithstanding evidence in support of the position that the Jews were those who simply moved into and occupied the land of Judea after the Israelites and Judahites were carried away captive into Assyria and Babylon, respectively. Thus, they were called "Jews" because they lived in the land of Judea, not because they were the descendants of Abraham, Issac and Jacob/Israel.

Who exactly and where these lost tribes are located is a matter of much controversy and debate. Most mainstream Christian religions teach that that the 10 tribes of Israel were lost but not the tribe of Judah, which merged with the tribe of Benjamin. They teach, perhaps in error, that the contemporary Jews are the descendants of Judah and therefore are the “chosen ones” but they have no idea as to the identity of the the 10 lost tribes.

In contrast, Christianity Identity scholars believe that the contemporary Jews are not Judahites and/or Israelites, i.e., not the "chosen ones", but are Edomites, Canaanites, Kenites and/or Khazars, etc., who occupied the land of Judea after Judah and Israel were carried away captive by the Babylonians and Assyrians, respectively. Based on scripture, they claim these new occupants were called "Jews" because they lived in the land of Judea, and not because they were descendants of Jacob/Israel.  Evidence in support of this view is documented in the book, The Thirteenth Tribe, The Khazar Empire and its Heritage” written by a Khazarian Jew named Arthur Koestler, who mysteriously died after writing this book.

Christian Identity teaches that the "lost sheep" of the Houses of Israel and Judah (the whole house of Israel), are the Anglo-Saxon, Celtic, Germanic, Nordic and kindred peoples of the world.  They rely on scripture and use other evidence to support their beliefs, such as the Behistun Rock and the Assyrian Tablets, the Stone of Destiny and the Scottish Declaration of Independence, etc., to show that the people of the Caucasian race are the descendants of the ancient Israelites.

Because the Bible teaches that the Israelites are the physical descendants of Abraham, Issac and Jacob/Israel, this means they are the recipients of the Abrahamic Covenant and covenant blessings promised to Abraham's seed via his wife Sarah. (Gen 17) In this respect, Christian Identity scholars point out that the Caucasian people are the only ones who have all the marks of Israel, as well as all the names of Israel.

Unlike British Israelism, which believe the Israelites are the Caucasian race but that contemporary Jews are the descendants of the Judahites, Christian Identity scholars believe that not only the House of Israel was scattered and their identity lost, but also the House of Judah. (Jer 13:19) They contend therefore that because Judah was also removed from its homeland, the "Jews" residing in Judea afterward, from whence many of your contemporary Jews descended, could not have been Judahites.

Christian Identity relies on the book of Ezra and Jewish Historian Flavius Josephus to show that after Israel and Judah were carried away captive, very few returned to their homeland and those that did largely mixed with the inhabitants dwelling their at the time. The majority of Judahites and Israelites migrated north across the Caucasus Mountains, settling throughout Europe and were called “Caucasians”. (Jer 3:18) Christian Identity scholars reason that since the seedline of Jacob Israel is the seedline Christ descended from, then naturally the Israelites would be the keepers the testimony of Jesus Christ.  See Rev. 12:17, where the remnant of the woman's seed, Israel, are those that "keep the commandments and the testimony of Jesus Christ".

While Jews claim to keep the commandments, generally speaking it is common knowledge that they do not keep the testimony of Jesus Christ.  Therefore, they could not be the Israelites because only Israelites have kept both throughout history. Christian Identity scholars emphasize that Christ condemned the Jews and said they were not His "sheep". As Christ said, "my sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me". (Jhn 10:26, 27) The word "sheep" is a reference to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Christ went on to say, "But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep." Id.

Christian Identity scholars emphasize Christ’s words that, "I have not come but for the lost sheep of the House of Israel" and that Christ instructed His disciples to go only to the lost sheep of the House of Israel. (Mat. 10:6, 15:24) Finally, Christian Identity adherents prefer to use the formal name of God, such YHVH, YHWH, Yahweh or Yahoveh, instead of referring to Him as "God". They refer to Christ as Yahshuah rather than Jesus though they are not necessarily opposed to those who prefer to use the names God and Jesus.

These are only a few of the tenets taught by Christian Identity scholars. For a more detailed Statement of Faith by Christian Identity scholars, see CREDO

Finally, I would be remiss if I didn't mention that there are many Jews who oppose the tenets of Christian Identity since it undermines their current status as God's chosen people.  For this reason, there is an enormous effort to malign Christian Identity by focusing on and emphasizing the violent acts of a few extremists, which could very well be Jewish operatives out to give Christian Identity a bad rap and discourage mainstream Christians from considering the tenets of Christian Identity. While some adherents might advocate violence, the majority of Christian Identity adherents are not violent and do not believe in “plucking up the tares” (a reference to non Israelites and/or Jews) but follow Christ's instruction to leave them alone and let the angels gather them up to burn them up in the end time. (Matt. 13:41-42)

In addition, Christian Identity is distinguished from the teachings of White Nationalists or neo Nazis in that they do not promote Adolf Hitler or the Mein Kampf but simply stick to the scriptures in the Bible, the Apocrypha, the Book of Enoch, Jasher, and other ancient texts.  As Christ said, "Ye shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free."
